Exterior painting
Window frames, doors, facades and gutters. Thoroughly prepared, because paint is only as good as what is underneath it.
Interior painting
Walls, ceilings, stairs and doors. Neatly masked, sanded with little dust and in a colour you still love a year later.
Wallpapering
From glass fibre wallcovering to floral wallpaper with a pattern that lines up perfectly, even around the chimney breast.
Wood repair
Rot in a window frame or sill? We cut it out and fill it with epoxy or a new piece of timber, so the whole frame can stay.
Window frames
Painting, repairs, new sealant and glazing beads. From the sash window in a canal house to the tilt-and-turn window in a 1930s home.
Three generations of Peters
Grandad Hendrik Peters started out on his own in 1958, with a cargo bike full of paint, brushes and a ladder. He painted doors and window frames on the Rapenburg and the Oude Vest, and still mixed his own colours from linseed oil and pigment.

Oude Singel: two facades in one go
Two neighbouring houses, two owners, one scaffold. One facade in brick red with off-white sash windows, the other in cream white with accents around the arched windows. Three weeks, including wood repairs to six sills.
Pieterswijk: a front door in gloss red
A panelled door from around 1900, stripped back to bare wood and built up again in five coats. The fanlight in the same colour, the frame in white. A small job, but the whole street looks at it.
Oegstgeest: a hall with an ochre alcove
Grey-blue walls and an arched alcove in warm ochre, exactly as Marloes had put it on the test swatches. Door and ceiling in lime white. Three working days.

Frequently asked questions
Is the colour advice really free?
Yes, with every job you give us. If you only want advice, for example because you are painting yourself, we charge €95 for a one-hour visit.
When is the best time for exterior painting?
Between April and October. Ideally book in winter or early spring, when you have the most choice of dates.
Do you work with a fixed price?
Yes. After the survey you get a quote with a price for each part. If we find hidden wood rot during the work, we show it to you first.
What paint do you use?
Indoors, water-based paint and lacquer, which hardly smell and don’t yellow. Outdoors usually alkyd paint, and linseed oil paint on listed buildings. The quote says exactly which paint we use.
