Which wallpaper where
Glass fibre is strong and can be painted over, handy on a wall with hairline cracks. Non-woven wallpaper goes up easily and comes off easily later. For a bedroom or dining room with character we like to hang paper wallpaper with a large pattern. For that we first measure exactly how the pattern will fall.
The preparation
Old wallpaper comes off with steam. Then we fill holes, sand the wall flat and apply a primer. It sometimes takes longer than the papering itself, but it is why no seam has opened up a year later.
